The ten characters in Hyper Dimension seen as the strongest in the DBZ series and were also seen as key figures throughout various sagas in the show. Despite, being a very fun 2D fighting title Dragon Ball Z Hyper Dimension had only included ten characters from the entire series. The fact that Bandai was able to release an arcade like fighting game for the SNES was impressive even though some people have argued that the game itself was tough. Unlike various other DBZ titles for the SNES this game was different because the gameplay felt similar to Fatal Fury. One of the best things about Dragon Ball Z Hyper Dimension was the fact that some of the main characters from various sagas in the series were included in this game including Goku, Vegeta, Piccolo, Frieza, Cell and Majin Buu. Along with the visual design and in game mechanics included in Hyper Dimension the game also had a pretty cool soundtrack which added a lot excitement to the game itself. The gameplay along with the graphics for this game were fantastic and some people who were fans of the series would probably argue that Dragon Ball Z Hyper Dimension was better than the Butoden series that was also released exclusively for the Super Nintendo Entertainment System. While there have been countless DBZ games that have been released over the past two decades Hyper Dimension was released exclusively for the Super Nintendo Entertainment System in 1996.
